First Tatting Project!

Tatted butterfly

It’s a little butterfly!! I can see I truly need practice, but it’s my first successful project, on my very first attempt! Yay, me!

This came from the Tatted Treasures website, as I was following her lessons…I think it was lesson 9. I’m so proud of myself, and I’m amazed how long it took me to do this, considering how tiny it is. It took a good hour, and it’s only about 1″ x 1″.

I wonder which of my girls is gonna jump on it first. All of my little practice circles have been raided by the kids. I have no idea why, but there you go. I figure around dawn, when Bryony comes in to ask some spurious question in order to see what I’m doing (sleeping!!), she will see the butterfly with her little hawk’s eyes, and that will be the end of it. So the picture in the post is likely to be the last time I see it and the only evidence that I did it!
