Looms, looms, looms

I have ordered two more looms. Peg looms, this time. Well, I had ordered one from Callimoor Farms the other day, one for finer yarns, and today my husband ordered one for heavier fibers from Finniwig for Christmas. Including the Cricket and inkle looms, which have yet to arrive, that puts my loom count at…six. Seven, if you count the weaving sticks. Holy cow.

Aneira has asked me for a scarf, so I’ve started one on the weaving sticks. The ends will be lavender, with lavender fringe, and the rest will be pastel green. In other words, I’m using yarn I already have, since I can’t afford to go yarn shopping this month. Knowing my daughter and how she treats her things, the scarf will be mistreated anyway, which would piss me off no end if I used a more expensive, higher-end yarn. Maybe when she’s older and has more appreciation for the things she’s got, I can give her better quality things, but for right now? She’s six. If she doesn’t mistreat it, she’ll lose it. I’d like to say I’m exaggerating, but her track record says otherwise!
